This training course will be implemented in Romania, Brasov, it will last 9 days, between 20^th of november - 28^th of November, 2012 and involves participants from 8 countries: Romania, Bulgaria, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Italy, United Kingdom and Turkey.

           Project Description

Sprijin si Dezvoltare Association in partnership with Momentum Youth Development CIC from United Kingdom, Seiklejate Vennaskond from Estonia, City Hall from Turin from Italy, Sport Club “Economist” from Bulgaria, Sopimusvuori from Finland, Manisa Il Milli Egitim Mudurlugu AB Projeler Koordinasyon Birimi from Turkey, Tyrtaios Sports Club for Disabled from Greece, launched the project „We build Europe!”, founded by European Commission by „Youth in Action” Programme (Action 4.3. Training and networking of those active in youth work and youth organisations).  The project will take place between august 1^st , 2012 and march18^th , 2013 in Brasov, Romania.

The aim of this project is to develop the European Citizenship feeling for youth leaders, project supervisors and youth workers, through placing this concept in Europe’s actual time and space, to develop motivational skills and attitudes for being active agents of including through participating at Europe’s building and to supply knowledge about this concept.

Main objective is to stimulate the personal and professional development of youth leaders, project supervisors and youth workers by extending their perceptions and understanding  of  European Citizenship through exploration and experimentation concept and facilitating them to recognize and integrate European Citizenship in youth work in general and working with young people with fewer opportunities especially, for those 16 youth leaders, project supervisors and youth workers coming from the 8 countries that are participating in the project.

Specific objectives:

1.      Critical, objective approach, the relevance understanding and the involvement of all European Citizenship dimensions in working with youth in generally and with young people with fewer opportunities especially, for those 16 youth leaders, project supervisors and youth workers coming from the 8 countries that are participating in project: Romania, Bulgaria, Finland, United Kingdom, Greece, Turkey, Estonia and Italy.

2.      Promoting and facilitating the understanding of the Youth in Action Programme and the opportunities that the programme it offers for youth work in general and working with young people with fewer opportunities in particular, on the concept of European Citizenship for 16 youth leaders, project supervisors and youth workers coming from the 8 countries that are participating in project: Romania, Bulgaria, Finland, United Kingdom, Greece, Turkey, Estonia and Italy.

3.      Identifying the link between their work with young people in general and their work with young people with fewer opportunities in particular, and European Citizenship (concepts, meanings, forms and expressions thereof) for those 16 youth leaders, project supervisors and youth workers coming from: Romania, Bulgaria, Finland, United Kingdom, Greece, Turkey, Estonia and Italy.

4.      Identification and exemplification the connection between European Citizenship, youth people with fewer opportunities Inclusion, Human Rights, Democracy, Peace and the underlying values ​​of it, for those 16 youth leaders, project supervisors and youth workers coming from: Romania, Bulgaria, Finland, United Kingdom, Greece, Turkey, Estonia and Italy.

5.      Development of an instrument of inclusion and 4 new non-formal education methods by those 16 youth leaders, project supervisors and youth workers coming from: Romania, Bulgaria, Finland, United Kingdom, Greece, Turkey, Estonia and Italy, to ensure active participation of youth with fewer opportunities in non-formal education programs.

Project Beneficiaries:

Direct beneficiaries: the 16 youth leaders, project supervisors and youth workers coming from: Romania, Bulgaria, Finland, United Kingdom, Greece, Turkey, Estonia and Italy, 2 participants from each country: 1 female participant and 1 male participant; and a total of 8 female participants and 8 male participants that are: youth leaders, project supervisors, youth workers or are working directly with youth with fewer opportunities.

Indirect beneficiaries:  young people with or without fewer opportunities, the NGO that are partners in the project, other youth leaders, project supervisors, youth workers from Romania, Bulgaria, Finland, United Kingdom, Greece, Turkey, Estonia, Italy and the communities from which the direct beneficiaries belong.
